The Kite Attitude Instinct Pro Model universal bar is the ultimate all-rounder for freeride, wave riding, kite foiling, and freestyle. This new version innovates with a sheathed depower rope, more durable, more comfortable, and better suited to modern riding and the new AKA 4 click-in QR.
You can choose the depower rope length depending on your riding style:
- 50 cm (standard): ideal for most riders and versatile use.
- 60 cm (race option): perfect for those who want maximum depower throw without switching to a double-pulley setup.
Many riders wanted the benefits of a long depower rope—especially foil riders and those using foil kites—without moving to a double-pulley setup. The Instinct Pro Model meets that need exactly: a long depower rope in a single-pulley setup, simpler, lighter, and more direct.
A longer depower rope is especially useful:
- for foil tacks, where you need to push the bar very high,
- for big foil kites that require more throw,
- for taller riders, who gain comfort and range of motion.

Two sheath options: PU or textile
The sheathed depower rope is available in two materials:
- PU tube (Made in France): strong, durable, ideal for intensive use.
- Textile sleeve: softer, more comfortable in cold climates, perfect for snowkite or for riders who often wrap lines around the bar.
The bar is fitted by default with the PU tube. If you prefer the textile sleeve, simply mention it in the order comments.
A strong, practical bar designed for riders
The Instinct Pro Model comes with the AKA 4 quick release, along with an impact protection pad under the bar that effectively protects the grip during handling or when rolling the bar with the kite. Steering precision can even surpass what you get with some original brand bars.

Same build as the Totem Vario, with reinforced grip
The Instinct Pro Model is designed exactly like the Totem Vario, except for the floats and the rear lines:
- the width of the steering lines is not adjustable,
- the floats are ergonomic and fully foam, for optimal protection of the rider and the board.
The grip is reinforced for hardcore riders.
The bar is ready to ride with the vast majority of kites on the market, even older models. You can also order the Instinct Pro Model in a 5-line version, and remove one front line to quickly convert it to 4 lines.

The Instinct Pro Model bar: ideal for wave riding, kite foiling and freestyling
Available in several widths: 42 cm, 47 cm, 50 cm, 52 cm, 55 cm, 60 cm, 65 cm. These widths correspond to the distance between the two steering lines.
42 cm: Ideal for kids, teens, or riding in strong wind. Perfect for small kites (2.5 to 7 m²). Excellent choice for low-aspect kites.
47 cm: The freestyler's bar: perfect for 5 to 10 m² kites, compatible up to 12 m².
50 cm: Versatile width, widely used in schools: perfect for 7 to 12 m².
52 cm: Very popular in wave riding: ideal for 9 to 12 m².
55 cm: Recommended for 11 to 14 m² kites.
60 cm: For larger kites: 15–16 m². Improves responsiveness thanks to greater rear-line spacing.
65 cm: For very large kites (17–18 m²), especially foil kites. Recommended for 15 m² and larger foil kites with 20 or 22 m lines.
AKA 4 click-in quick release, maximum safety
This new safety system strictly meets Afnor NF S-52 503 and ISO 21853 standards. It ensures a smooth activation even under extreme tension. You benefit from total safety because it requires only 6 kg of pressure for a 250 kg load. This performance far exceeds standard Afnor requirements. When needed, you can rearm the mechanism in the blink of an eye on the water.
Compactness and optimal ergonomics
You're holding the shortest model on today's market. This 5 to 10 cm reduction radically changes your riding experience. It's perfectly suited to foil riders, wave riders, or children. The center hole is exceptionally wide to make it easier for your safety line to pass through. The front-line loop has a protective sleeve for increased durability.
A smooth, patented swivel
The swivel uses a high-quality ceramic ball bearing. You can therefore untwist your lines effortlessly with your fingertips. This patented system sometimes works autonomously thanks to its natural smoothness. The overall design prevents premature wear of key components. You get reliable equipment for your most committed sessions.
Choose your chicken loop size
Size XS is the shortest version without a nub for rope harnesses. Size S is ideal for dedicated wave or foil riding. You can also choose size M for maximum everyday versatility. Finally, size L is aimed directly at unhooked freestyle enthusiasts. You'll definitely find the setup that matches your riding style.
SK99 lines, maximum responsiveness
Dyneema SK99 offers near-zero stretch. The kite reacts instantly, with no delay at all. The ends are fitted with loops + knots to adapt to all bridles (e.g., Cabrinha, Duotone, North, etc.).
Choosing line lengths
Inflatable kites:
- 21/22 m: versatility, wave, foil
- 23/24 m: freestyle, riders > 85 kg, light wind
- Very strong wind: 19 m recommended
Foil kites:
- Race foil: 12 to 13 m
- Leisure: minimum 17 m in steady wind, otherwise 21–24 m
Single-skin kites:
- 21 m recommended in light to medium wind
- 17 meters in medium to strong winds
Not sure? Go for extensions (4, 5 or 7 m). Very effective to ride in 10 knots with a 10 m².
Low V or small Y option
The behavior difference between Low V and Y is small. Line length has a much bigger impact than the presence of a Y.
- Low V is now used by almost all brands: It makes unhooked riding less physical, solo landings easy, and untwisting in schools easier. Low v kites go upwind better (this is why racers always use low v)
- The small Y is still available for those who prefer this historical setup. The higher splitpoint makes the kite turn faster on its ears, but the difference is really minimal compared to a low v setup
