Thanks to a new manufacturing technology, the Carbon Ultra kite bar from Kite Attitude offers an exceptional 60% weight reduction compared with a classic bar, while keeping optimal strength. The bars are hollow, which reduces mass without compromising resistance. The tubes, now 5 mm thinner, improve air penetration and steering precision. Result: you feel your kite even better, even in the lightest wind variations.

The Carbon Ultra kite bar isn’t reserved for champions. If you ride foil in very light wind, it helps keep your kite flying through lulls and explore the low end more safely. Thanks to its ultra-light weight, the kite + bar setup is less likely to stall or fall into the water.
Its lightness improves steering finesse: you feel every movement of the kite, every gust and every wind change with precision. Built to last, the Carbon Ultra bar is probably the strongest on the market. The critical areas—center and ends—have been reinforced to prevent any breakage, even in race competition or downwind foil. The goal: it should never break, whatever the discipline or wind strength.

Options
- If you want an AKA quick release in size M (instead of S or XS), mention it in the order comments.
- If you want a 60 cm depower line (instead of the standard 50 cm for the single-pulley setup), mention it as well.
- For the double-pulley setup, a 70 cm depower line can be requested instead of the 60 cm model.
- All line lengths can be made, from short lines (11, 12, 13, 15 m) to long lines (22, 24 or 25 m). Select “Other” and specify the desired length in the order comments.
Which bar width should you choose?
Choosing the width directly affects kitesurf kite handling. A wider bar makes fast turns easier, while a narrower bar gives more control in strong wind or for snowkite.
- 45 cm: kites from 3 to 6 m²
- 52 cm: kites from 7 to 8 m²
- 55 cm: kites from 9 to 12 m²
- 60 cm: kites 13 m² and above
With short lines (12 to 15 m), you can choose a slightly narrower bar.
Sheathed depower line
The center hole of a carbon version is more abrasive than a stainless-steel center. To protect the system, a sheathed depower line is strongly recommended. The textile sheath chosen by Kite Attitude offers several advantages:
- Easier to wrap around the bar when packing.
- More comfortable to the touch in the cold (hard PU stiffens at low temperatures).
If you prefer a PU depower line (polyurethane), simply mention it in the order comments.
Double-pulley setup
The double-pulley setup provides exceptional trim accuracy, ideal for foil competition or race. Thanks to the multiplication effect of the two pulleys, you can adjust trim to the nearest centimeter.
This setup comes with a depower line extended by 12 cm and a trim extension to adjust the kite without standing up, even while riding. It is aimed at competitors and riders seeking maximum performance and absolute stability in all conditions.
Single-pulley setup
The single-pulley setup is a more classic and versatile option. It’s perfect for freeride, foil or snowkite with a single-skin kite, such as the Flysurfer Peak or the Gin Marabout. Light and compact, this bar is easy to carry on mountain hikes or approach walks.
In foil, with a strutless or single-strut inflatable kite (F-One Breeze, Gong Strutless, Ozone Uno, North or Duotone Mono), the single-pulley setup feels the most natural.
Premium Dyneema SK99 lines
The kite lines are made from Dyneema SK99, the worldwide benchmark for strength and low stretch:
- Race 300 kg version for competitors and very light wind.
- 495 kg version for versatile use.
Each set of lines is pre-stretched in the workshop, guaranteeing perfect tension and instant responsiveness with no “chewing-gum” effect.
Non-slip grip and manufacturing
Unlike some competing carbon bars, the Carbon Ultra benefits from an effective non-slip grip, even when wet. The hold remains firm and comfortable in all conditions. The carbon bar is built like MTB handlebars, with compressed-air bladders inside. They compress the resin into the fiber. And finally, assembly is done in France
