These mini extenders can be useful for several purposes:
1) you can create an offset and shift the point where the kite lines will cross (kite loop).
2) you can add more depower to a foil kite, in case you are not using our race foil universal bar.
3) you can offset a discrepancy between front and steering lines when you sheet in completely (this can be useful for some older kites like the Best Kahoona, Slingshot RPM or Genetrix Hydra, and all kites prior to 2008 (C Shape), that did not have a sustained leading edge).
