A bar designed for committed riders

If you ride in a very committed style or if you use one bar per kite – as is often the case with foil kites – this is the bar you need. Many riders even feel better handling than with their original bar.

You can wrap the bar directly with your kite, without fearing to damage anything, thanks to the 100% foam ends, with no hard points.

The Freestyle Wave Plus is delivered with:

The Freestyle Wave Plus is designed exactly like the Totem Vario Plus, with one difference: the floats and rear lines are not width-adjustable. Everything else is strictly identical to the Totem Vario Plus.

You can even buy a 5-line version and remove one front line to turn it into a 4-line bar in just a few seconds.. Like all Kite Attitude universal bars, the Freestyle Wave Plus is ready to ride with:
- most kites on the market,
- older kites (adjustments possible, see FAQ),
- all sizes of kites, in 4 or 5 lines.

42 cm – Red / Blue

- For kids, teens, riders in strong wind.
- Perfect for 2.5 to 7 m² kites (typically 5 m²).
- Prevents over-steering in strong wind.
- Excellent for low-aspect wakestyle kites.
- Suitable for children from 7 years old (ultra-short quick release + adjustable cleat).

47 cm – Yellow / Blue

- Freestyle and wakestyle riders’ bar.
- For 5 to 10 m² kites, up to 12 m².
- Perfect for juniors.

50 cm – Red / Blue

- #1 versatile size.
- Used in schools.

Choosing the right line length

For inflatable kites:
- 21/22 m : versatility / waves / foil
- 23/24 m : freestyle, rider > 85 kg, light wind / tropics
- 19 m : very strong wind (40–50 knots)

For foil kites:
- Foil competition: 12–13 m
- Leisure: 17 m minimum if wind is steady
- versatility: 21–24 m

For single-skin kites (Peak, Gin…):
- 21 m recommended.

Tip for extensions:
Take 21/22 m + 4/5/7 m extensions for light wind.

Want a specific length? It’s possible. Choose « Other » and indicate the desired length (lead time possible).

Low V option or short Y

Behavior differences:
- minor; line length influences handling much more than V/Y.
- Total length differences are explained in the original text (kept unchanged).

Benefits of low V:

- All kites work in Low V, even those delivered with a bar with a Y
- Better upwind performance with a low V
- You can land the kite alone in light to moderate wind by grabbing a front line
- Unhooked freestyle: better "slack".
- Schools: easier untangling.
- If you change the lines, it's simpler because they are all the same length
