The Totem Vario Access + AKA 3 comes with the AKA 3 quick release and is the major new release at the end of the year. It is the direct evolution of the classic Totem bar, integrating key improvements to deliver even more performance, versatility and comfort.

Major upgrades of the Totem Vario

Total versatility: freeride, wave, foil and even old-school freestyle
The Totem Vario is a universal bar suitable for every style: freeride, wave, foil, old-school freestyle.
Its main advantage: it adapts in 2 seconds to all kite sizes, thanks to the instant adjustment of the rear line spacing.
This adjustment directly affects:
- the kite turning speed,
- its responsiveness,
- its ability to turn in light or strong wind.
General rule:
- The bigger the kite, the wider the bar should be.
For small kites or strong wind, bring the rear lines closer to the center to avoid oversteering.
If you use 4 m or 7 m extensions, it is recommended to increase the spacing by one notch to keep the same responsiveness.
Available settings and sizes
Totem Vario bar 55 cm
- Available settings: 43 / 47 / 51 / 55 cm
- Compatibility: kites from 3 m² to 14 m² (up to 15 m² for recent kites).
- Ideal for riders who do not use very large kites.
Totem Vario bar 60 cm-
Available settings: 48 / 52 / 56 / 60 cm
- Compatibility: kites from 5 m² to 16 m².
Totem Vario bar 65 cm
- Available settings: 53 / 57 / 61 / 65 cm
- Compatibility: kites from 8 m² to 21 m².
- Especially suited to large foil kites (Conceptair, Pansh, etc.).
Tip: when using 4 m or 7 m extensions, move the rear line setting one notch outward to keep responsiveness.
Compatible with all kites, all brands
Like all Kite Attitude universal bars, the Totem Vario Access is compatible with all leading-edge, foil, single-skin and hybrid kites, in 4 or 5 lines, from 2008 models to today.

Small Y or Low V (4 direct lines):
- Low V = recommended for: freeride, wave, schools, freestyle.
- Small Y = historical version, compatible with all kites.
Important: A setup without a Y shortens the final total length by 1 meter.
Line length
- 21/22 m : versatility, wave, foil.
- 23/24 m : riders over 85 kg, warm wind, light wind, freestyle.
- Possible extensions: 4 / 5 / 7 m to improve low-end range.
Chicken Loop choice
S : wave, foil, children.
M : versatile use.
L : committed freestyle.
XS : For those who use a rope harness, without a stainless loop.
